The C I International was the best ever, and it has to be said the closets one ever, with 6 of the mens teams out of 7 being able to reach the top 4 play off
The Jersey team pipped Portugal out of o top 4 place with the last of their round robin games as they beat Taunton 8-4
They faced Belgium in the semi final and looked to d and outputted Ashley Periumcoasting their way to anther final in this event as they led 6-3, but Belgium had travelled a long way to compete here this weekend, and came back with a stunning finish as they won 5 on the trot to devastate the home team and the support
The other semi was between Bristol and Taunton with Bristol coming out on top 8-6 in a very close match, as is usually the case for these two rivals
The junior team final was between Jersey A and Guernsey A and this was a much closer affair than the insular game, After two sessions in the best of 15 game it was all square at 5-5. Darren De Fue beat James Kirk, Karl Hinds further enhanced his reputation as he out potted Robert Le Gallez and brother Josh won the match as he beat James Kirk

The C I Championships which where played in the same venue had our top two C I Junior players playing each other in the Junior final, Josh Hinds(Jersey) faced his biggest rival Jess De La haye, It was as always a close encounter and E La Haye ranked no2 in the world beat him 5-3 in a superbly contested final
The Ladies final was between Laura Gicqull and Christell Le Toullec, an all Jersey final, Le Toullec put out hot fav Linda Maider in the second round 4-3
The Junior C I International was another disappointment for Josh Hinds as he had fought his way to yet another final, only to be outputted by Sarnian James Kirk, both have lots of international experence, and the standard of play was as always exciting

The C I International men’s event was as always a prestigious event, and the runner up from two years ago Chris Alexander of Jersey yet again reached the final with a great potting display against the Belgium champion Johan Depoorter in the semi final, He was 3-2 down in the race to 6, then went into a different gear as he on the next four. He beat Mark Wood (Bristol) 5-4 in the first round,Then Gareth Ford 5- 0(Taunton) in the second round, Mark Hancock (Guernsey) was 5-1
In the other half another another Belgium player Dave Verey played the very talented Andy Dart from Bristol, it went 5-5 then Verey won it with a great cut in the middle pocket to win 6-5 in the sudden death decider
The final was great to watch as Verey went 2-0 ahead , back came Alexander to level at 2-2, Verey took the next, but Alexander pumped up the vol as he out potted Verey in the next three frames to lead 5-3. Verey was not out of it as he won the next two to level at 5-5, Verey had a chance to win it, but let Alexander in as he missed a pot, he cleared his last 5 balls to win the event for the first time
